André Souto, LASIGE integrated member, with Rúben Barreiro, his former MSc student, won first place in the student’s category of the 3rd edition of Call for Projects of the INNCYBER INNOVATION HUB 2022, last October 27, 2022.
The awarded project “BKMPS22 Protocol” derived from Ruben Barreiro MSc’s thesis where a new semi-quantum conference key-agreement protocol was presented. The project also had as supervisor António Ravara (FCT NOVA).
INNCYBER is an accelerator that aims to promote the development of innovative projects with national and international impact, leveraging the capacity for innovation in cybersecurity and cyberdefense areas. The call focus on strategic areas of Cybersecurity and Cyberdefense.
Last year, LASIGE’s (then) MSc student Ricardo Carvalho, achieved the Top 5 position in the competition of the sister accelerator HEALTH INNOVATION Hub.
