MUM2022 organized by LASIGE

Date: 02/12/2022

João Guerreiro, Ana Paula Afonso, and André Rodrigues, LASIGE integrated members, and the LASIGE PhD students David Gonçalves, Diogo Branco, Filipa Rocha, and Pedro Pais organized the International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia (MUM2022), held in Lisbon, on November, 27-30, 2022.

At the conference, the researchers Filipa Brito, Tiago Guerreiro and João Guerreiro (both LASIGE integrated members) were also the organizers of the Workshop on Virtual Reality for Health and Wellbeing, focusing on systems, technological approaches, and theoretical frameworks to develop user/patient-centred VR tools for diagnosis, intervention, and monitoring of health and wellbeing outcomes. These researchers, working in the Accessibility and Ageing line, aim to promote equal access and opportunity to use VR tools by people with diverse abilities.

The conference program included keynote presentations, peer-reviewed accepted papers, posters, and demos, among other tracks, and also had a co-located doctoral school. The technical program was complemented by several social events to facilitate informal discussions and networking among the conference attendees and invited guests.

The MUM is a leading annual international conference, which provides a forum for presenting the latest research results on mobile and ubiquitous multimedia. The conference brings together experts from both academia and industry for a fruitful exchange of ideas and discussion on future challenges, in a comfortable and effective single-track conference format.
