LASIGE’s integrated member Catia Pesquita participated in a panel on Artificial Intelligence and its role in the workplace at the awards session ‘As Melhores & As Maiores do Portugal Tecnológico’. The awards distinguishes the top Portuguese entrepreneurs, innovators, companies, and institutions in the areas of Science and Technology. A project by LASIGE’s PhD student FIlipa Rocha was also awarded. The event, which is in its 17th edition, took place on November 23.

In the discussion, the researcher focused on the role of AI in scientific research in the natural sciences and highlighted the importance of advanced training in this area. Read more here.
