Ana Respício, LASIGE integrated member, participated in the panel on cyber security research at the webinar “What is being researched in Portugal?”, on January 25, 2022, organized by the Portuguese Chapter of Women4Cyber.
Words like ChatGPT, artificial intelligence, quantum, and post-quantum cryptography, or Metaverse are more and more frequent. Additionally, the increase in cyber attacks on critical infrastructure that can greatly affect our daily lives is expected to continue to rise this year. These were the triggers to debate what kind of themes or areas are currently being researched and explored in Portugal in the field of cybersecurity to address these needs.
Women4Cyber Portugal is the National Chapter of the Women4Cyber Foundation, launched directly by the European Cyber Security Organization (ECSO).
With a Mission to help fill the gender gap of cybersecurity professionals, its main objective is to encourage, support and promote the participation of women in the field of cybersecurity, by skilling, up-skilling, and re-skilling girls and women towards cybersecurity education and professions.
