The LASIGE MSc students Guilherme Espada and Paulo Santos, under the supervision of Alcides Fonseca, integrated researcher, got the top 15 out of 1152 teams (4138 students) with their project: ecoServer – a system to optimize the energy impact of servers in data centers at the EDP University Challenge.

The EDP University Challenge is an international initiative for young university students in Portugal, Brazil, and other countries where EDP Renewables is present (Spain, France, Italy, and Belgium).

This is an annual competition with the purpose of stimulating university students and applying their academic knowledge in the development of a project for EDP, this year the theme was Sustainability.
