LASIGE researchers participate in a consortium of a new Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie call, Research and Innovation Staff Exchange Evaluations (RISE) project entitled “SEEDS: A holistic design of secure vehicular networks: communications, data caching and blockchain services” (starting in 2021). LASIGE's team is composed of the following integrated members: Naercio Magaia, Alysson Bessani, and António Casimiro.

This project sets an ambitious research agenda to exploit the potentials of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications, data caching, and blockchain services fully for revolutionizing the security of vehicular networks. With the rapid deployment of 5G and recent development of connected vehicles, Cyber Security has been gaining increasing importance to the connected systems that are fundamental to our society, health, and welfare.

Its overall aim is to accelerate the transfer and deployment of research knowledge in order to realize a cross-layer design of reliable and robust security for V2X networks and meet the challenging security requirements, that is, identifiability, authentication, confidentiality, and scalability.
