Doctoral INPhINIT “la Caixa” Foundation Fellowship at LASIGE

Date: 18/10/2022

Joel Samper is LASIGE’s  first “la Caixa” Foundation Doctoral INPhINIT Incoming fellow. The PhD student is being supervised by LASIGE’s integrated member Bernardo Ferreira, since September 2022.

The goal of the proposed research is to explore methods for image exchange over messaging and dating mobile apps in safer ways. It will mainly focus on steganography, cryptography, compliance protocols, and OS reference monitor methods, to offer standardized mechanisms to prevent these images from being re-sent or published elsewhere, or at least to track who leaked them if that happens.

The programme of “la Caixa” Foundation aims to support the best scientific talent and foster innovative and high-quality research in Spain and Portugal. It is devoted to attracting talented Early-Stage Researchers (of any nationality) who wish to pursue doctoral studies in Spanish or Portuguese territory, recruiting outstanding international students, and offering them an attractive and competitive environment for conducting research of excellence.
